Rising London star Matt-Felix has dropped his new single, ‘Cold With Desire’. It’s a bass-led cut that brings together live instruments and electronic textures to forge a unique accompaniment to his brooding voice, which effortlessly jumps from deep resonance to high falsetto. He says the track is “different to anything I’ve done before, and I love it for that reason. I initially wrote it without an instrument, just by singing the melody acapella. I then started to layer it with a drum machine and synths, the bass line was the last thing I added to it. Which is strange as it’s the main focus of the whole song.
